Max Winkel‘s decisions on a September night in 2011 cost a Poy Sippi teen his life, but his actions after a fatal drunken-driving crash reflected a “horrific, egregious, irresponsible” me-first mentality, a judge said during sentencing Thursday.
Winkel, 20, chose to drink. He chose to get behind the wheel of his pickup truck and drive.
