Green Bay woman jailed for substantial battery in Appleton

APPLETON — A Green Bay woman struck a man with a champagne bottle after he offended her friend about her weight during a disturbance in the 300 block of W. College Avenue early Sunday morning. Appleton Police Sgt. Jay Steinke said the 26-year-old woman “took it too far” about 3:20 a.m. Sunday when she threw the bottle at the man from close range, causing a cut near his mouth that required stitches. She is being held in the Outagamie County jail on a charge of substantial battery. Full Story: Post Crescent
