Fox Valley digs out from snowstorm

Thursday’s snowstorm didn’t carry the punch in the Fox Valley that some people feared, but the wet and heavy snowfall that blanketed the region was enough to set a record. Appleton received 10.5 inches of snowfall on Thursday, according to the National Weather Service. The city’s previous snowfall record for Dec. 20 was 5.4 inches, set in 2008.
