Council hopefuls begin circulating nomination papers

Hard to believe, but we’re less than eight weeks from Appleton’s Feb. 19 primary election for the common council. The nonpartisan spring election is April 2. Since 2013 is an odd-numbered year, the odd-numbered districts are up for re-election. Those are seats held by (in order of district): Christoph Wahl, Curt Konetzke, Ed Baranowski, Kathy Plank, Peter Stueck, Patti Coenen, Jim Clemons and Jeff Jirschele. Full Story: Post Crescent
