In an era of Kindles and Nooks, it seems counter intuitive to open an old-fashioned book store. But that’s exactly what Dr. Tom Lyons did when he opened his Thomas A. Lyons Fine Books in downtown Neenah.
“The book is not dead. The printed word is going strong,” said Lyons, a semi-retired Neenah neurosurgeon who has been a passionate book collector for three decades. “The majority of people still like the physical book — the look, feel and smell.”
