Appleton police investigate attempted robbery at Citgo

APPLETON — A person who attempted to rob a Citgo convenience store in the 100 block of Wisconsin Avenue Friday morning changed his mind after telling a clerk of his plans, police say. The would-be robber, who was wearing “some type of material over his face,” walked up to the store counter and told a female employee he wanted to rob the place, said Sgt.
